She grew up in Tasmania with her grandmother being a celebrated Tassie artist and a well known mentor from whom artists learned art and how to unravel one’s inner artist.

Samantha sees the world in an array of colour, light and shapes. She perceives the energy of matter and its nuances, and these are her guides to draw and recreate. 

Her influences are Rothko, Brett Whitely and the post impressionists.
