Art has always been a fire that burned inside me, an obsessive creative need. In this sense, abstract painting was a shock, the possibility of finally channeling all that energy that flowed inside me, of showing the world my deepest side. It has never been an easy path, the search for one’s artistic essence is a journey that never ends and even if over the years some small milestone is reached, fears and insecurities never leave you.
I believe that the true strength of a work of art is the ability to establish a bond with the observer and especially in abstract art the observer is part of the creative process. Some works are also real turning points, unexplored corners of one’s being that take shape. Surely the work I am most fond of is “The strength of Claudia”, a painting from 2014, linked to a particular event in my life. In creating it, I distinctly perceived the channeling of a force, the transfer of my emotions, I understood that abstract painting was the right language to tell myself. From then on it was all a crescendo of experimentation and awareness.
The search for an identity led me to create very different works, ranging from very painful action paintings like “Inside my battle” or lighter and more harmonious ones like “Karma”, visions of metropolitan cities like “Miami Beach” or doughs dense loads of intensity like “Icy mystery”, the many facets of my being.
Art is all of this, a dimension of total freedom, my corner of peace, my peaceful haven when the sea is stormy. Those are my world because I want to live in color.
